Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for performing, analyzing, and reporting on diagnostic sleep studies in a compassionate and professional manner.   1. Conduct and interpret sleep studies to accurately diagnose and monitor sleep disorders in patients.
  2. Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to monitor and record physiological data during sleep studies.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders.
  4. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during sleep studies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of sleep study results and patient progress.
  6. Educate patients and their families about sleep disorders and treatment options.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  9. Stay updated on advancements in sleep disorder treatment and technology.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  12. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Ascension Health in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
  13. Attend and participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Rpsgt) Through The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Sleep Disorders Center Or Related Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Sleep Disorders, Diagnostic Testing, And Treatment Modalities.
