  1. Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies on patients in a timely and accurate manner using specialized equipment and technology.
  2. Accurately analyze and interpret sleep study results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients on proper sleep hygiene and provide recommendations for improving sleep quality.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including sleep study data and treatment plans.
  6. Ensure proper functioning and calibration of sleep study equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  8. Continuously stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in sleep medicine and technology.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
  10. Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to all individuals, regardless of their background or condition.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience and outcomes.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address any concerns or questions they may have.
  13. Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures, including compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  14. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Polysomnographic Technology: The Candidate Should Possess A Certification In Polysomnographic Technology From A Recognized Institution Or Board, Such As The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (Brpt).

  • Experience In Sleep Medicine: Previous Experience In A Sleep Medicine Setting, Such As A Sleep Clinic Or Laboratory, Is Preferred. This Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Knowledge And Skills In Conducting Sleep Studies And Interpreting Results.

  • Knowledge Of Sleep Disorders: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Sleep Disorders And Their Diagnostic Criteria. This Includes Knowledge Of Sleep Staging, Respiratory Events, And Other Physiological Parameters Measured During A Sleep Study.

  • Ability To Use Polysomnography Equipment: Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Various Polysomnography Equipment, Such As Eeg, Eog, Emg, And Respiratory Monitoring Devices, Is Necessary For This Role.

  • Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Physicians, Nurses, And Technicians. This Is Essential For Providing High-Quality Patient Care And Maintaining A Positive Work Environment.
