Physician - Pediatric Clinical Genetics

1. Conduct thorough and comprehensive evaluations of patients with suspected or diagnosed genetic conditions, including reviewing medical history, conducting physical exams, and ordering and interpreting genetic tests.
2. Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, based on their unique genetic conditions and needs.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including genetic counselors, nurses, and specialists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
4. Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of pediatric clinical genetics, and implement new techniques and treatments as appropriate.
5. Educate patients and their families about their genetic conditions, the potential implications, and available treatment options.
6. Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and families, helping them navigate the complexities of genetic conditions.
7. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including test results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
8. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop care plans.
9. Adhere to all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
10. Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities to maintain expertise in pediatric clinical genetics.
11. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care and attention.
12. Collaborate with research teams and participate in clinical trials to advance the field of pediatric clinical genetics.
13. Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and colleagues.
