- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in billing procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address any billing concerns or questions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality.
Experience In Medical Billing And Coding: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Medical Billing And Coding, Preferably In A Physician Office Setting. This Will Ensure They Have A Good Understanding Of The Billing Process And Can Effectively Handle Any Issues That May Arise.
Knowledge Of Insurance And Reimbursement Policies: The Billing Coordinator Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Insurance Policies, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Private Insurance Plans. They Should Also Be Aware Of Any Changes In Reimbursement Policies And Be Able To Adapt To These Changes Quickly.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Billing Coordinator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Patients, Insurance Companies, And Other Healthcare Providers. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Convey Information And Resolve Any Conflicts.
