Pharmacy Technician, Mail Order

1. Accurately and efficiently process medication orders for mail delivery, including inputting prescription information, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring proper dosing and patient information.
2. Prepare and package medications for shipment, adhering to all necessary safety and quality control standards.
3. Maintain and update patient records and medication profiles in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy and patient care.
5. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to address any medication-related concerns or questions.
6. Perform inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies as needed.
7. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and company policies regarding medication dispensing and handling.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and disposal of medication products.
9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
11. Continuously monitor and report any potential medication errors or adverse drug reactions to the appropriate parties.
12. Assist with other pharmacy duties and tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the mail order department.
