1. Assist in the preparation and distribution of medication to patients in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Follow all safety and quality protocols to ensure the safe handling and administration of medications.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all medications are properly stored and labeled.
4. Utilize pharmacy software and technology to accurately enter and retrieve patient information and medication orders.
5. Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and accurate medication management.
6. Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, related to pharmacy operations.
7. Review and fill medication orders, including measuring, counting, and labeling medications.
8. Assist in inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies.
9. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding their medications.
10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
11. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with changes in pharmacy practices and procedures.
12. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide the best possible care for patients.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
