1. Perform perfusion procedures and manage cardiopulmonary bypass during surgeries according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
2. Monitor patient vital signs and adjust perfusion equipment as needed to maintain appropriate levels.
3. Collaborate with surgical team to ensure proper coordination and communication during procedures.
4. Monitor and maintain adequate levels of blood products and medication to support patient needs during perfusion.
5. Operate and maintain perfusion equipment, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure proper sterilization and storage.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of perfusion procedures and patient information.
7. Continuously assess and evaluate patient response to perfusion and make adjustments as necessary.
8. Educate patients and their families about perfusion procedures and answer any questions or concerns.
9. Stay current on advances and changes in perfusion techniques and equipment.
10. Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices for perfusion services.
12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
13. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
14. Provide exceptional customer service and compassionate care to patients and their families.
15. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and superiors.
