
Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist

- Perform echocardiograms on pediatric patients according to established procedures and protocols.
- Monitor patient condition and respond to any changes during the procedure.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including all findings and observations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about the echocardiogram procedure and answer any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Ensure proper function and maintenance of equipment and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric echocardiography technology and techniques.
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain certification and improve skills.

Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field: A Qualified Candidate For The Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist Position At Ascension Health Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills In Ultrasound Principles, Anatomy, And Physiology, As Well As Specialized Training In Pediatric Echocardiography.
Certification In Pediatric Echocardiography: Ascension Health Requires Candidates For The Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist Position To Possess Certification In Pediatric Echocardiography From A Recognized Certifying Body, Such As The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Standards And Possesses The Required Skills To Perform Echocardiograms On Pediatric Patients.
