Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist to join our team.   1. Perform pediatric echocardiograms on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Review and interpret echocardiography images to identify and diagnose heart conditions in pediatric patients.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  4. Ensure the safety and comfort of pediatric patients during procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient history, and test results.
  6. Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in pediatric echocardiography techniques and equipment.
  8. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding procedures and test results.
  9. Work closely with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure quality outcomes.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and safety.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols.
  12. Maintain and operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
  14. Attend training and continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
  15. Act as a positive role model for other staff members and promote a culture of excellence in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Formal Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution Is Required. The Candidate Should Also Have Completed Specialized Training In Pediatric Echocardiography.

  • Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Certification In Pediatric Echocardiography From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Echocardiography Is Preferred. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Performing And Interpreting Echocardiograms On Infants, Children, And Adolescents.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Cardiology: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pediatric Cardiovascular Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology. They Should Also Have Knowledge Of Common Congenital Heart Defects And Acquired Heart Diseases In Children.

  • Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Young Patients, Their Parents, And Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Have The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment While Maintaining A Calm And Reassuring Demeanor.
