Patient Transporter

1. Safely transport patients to and from various locations within the healthcare facility, including hospital rooms, exam rooms, and treatment areas.
2. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare staff to ensure a positive and comfortable experience during transportation.
3. Provide physical and emotional support to patients during transportation, including assisting with transfers, positioning, and providing comfort items such as blankets and pillows.
4. Monitor patient condition and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare staff.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disinfecting transport equipment and restocking supplies.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
7. Utilize and maintain proper body mechanics and lifting techniques to safely transport patients of various ages and abilities.
8. Respond promptly to transportation requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and patient needs.
9. Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including patient transport logs and incident reports.
10. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on best practices and procedures related to patient transportation.
11. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and timely patient flow throughout the facility.
12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
13. Provide excellent customer service and represent Ascension Health in a professional and compassionate manner at all times.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or healthcare team.
