Patient Care Technician - Pediatric Respiratory

1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to pediatric patients in the Respiratory unit.
2. Assist in the daily care of patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing treatments under the direction of a registered nurse.
3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
4. Observe and report any changes in patient's condition to the nurse and assist with emergency situations.
5. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
7. Utilize and maintain medical equipment and supplies in a responsible and efficient manner.
8. Document and maintain accurate patient records, including vital signs, treatments, and medication administration.
9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, creating a welcoming and comforting atmosphere.
10. Stay updated on current respiratory care practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
11. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards of practice.
