  1. Provide exceptional patient care to individuals with cardiovascular needs, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being is prioritized at all times.
  2. Collaborate with the medical team to deliver high-quality, personalized, and holistic care to patients.
  3. Assist patients with daily needs such as bathing, grooming, and feeding, while maintaining their privacy and dignity.
  4. Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other relevant patient information as directed by the medical team.
  5. Administer medication and treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear and concise information about their care plans and addressing any questions or concerns.
  7. Operate and maintain equipment used for cardiovascular care, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on advancements and best practices in cardiovascular care.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Patient Care Technician - Cardiovascular At Ascension Health Must Hold A Valid Certification As A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Patient Care Technician (Pct). This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Has The Necessary Skills To Provide High-Quality Care To Patients With Cardiovascular Conditions.

  • Experience: Ascension Health Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Cardiac Care Unit Or Cardiovascular Clinic. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Familiarity With Cardiovascular Procedures And Equipment, As Well As Their Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiovascular Conditions: A Patient Care Technician Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Cardiovascular Conditions And The Treatments Involved. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Diagnostic Tests, Medications, And Procedures Used In Cardio Care.

  • Teamwork And Communication Skills: Ascension Health Values Candidates Who Can Work Effectively In A Team And Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Is Essential For Providing Comprehensive Care To Patients And Ensuring Their Needs Are Met.

  • Physical Stamina And Attention To Detail: Working As A Patient Care Technician - Cardiovascular Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Long Hours On Your Feet And The Ability To Lift And Move Patients.
