1. Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients in accordance with Ascension Health's standards and procedures.
2. Assist in the daily care and monitoring of patients, including taking vital signs, monitoring blood sugar levels, and providing assistance with activities of daily living.
3. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, following infection control protocols and ensuring proper sanitation of equipment and supplies.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to provide updates on patient status and address any concerns or questions.
5. Help patients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment to ensure their safety and comfort.
6. Monitor patient intake and output, reporting any significant changes to the supervising nurse.
7. Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
8. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to provide input on patient care plans and contribute to the overall treatment of patients.
9. Assist with the restocking and ordering of supplies, ensuring an adequate inventory is maintained.
10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
11. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes by seeking opportunities for professional development and implementing evidence-based practices.
12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay at Ascension Health.
13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify potential patient care issues and implement appropriate interventions.
14. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families at all times.
15. Attend and actively participate in mandatory training and staff meetings.
