- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to medical staff.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Collect and document patient information, including medical history and current symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical staff.
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as phlebotomy and catheter insertion.
- Assist with patient mobility, including transferring and positioning patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.

Completion Of A Certified Patient Care Technician Program: Candidates Must Have Completed A Formal Training Program That Has Been Approved By Ascension Health.
Valid Cpr Certification: As A Healthcare Provider, A Patient Care Technician Must Have A Valid Cpr Certification To Respond To Emergencies And Provide Basic Life Support.
Knowledge Of Basic Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Patient Care Technician To Communicate Effectively With Healthcare Professionals.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: Patient Care Technicians Must Be Able To Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
Ability To Perform Basic Medical Procedures: Candidates Should Have Experience And Knowledge In Performing Basic Medical Procedures Such As Taking Vital Signs, Performing Ekgs, And Conducting Phlebotomy.
