- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families.
- Lead and mentor a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate and improve patient outcomes.
- Train and educate staff on new procedures, protocols, and technologies related to pediatric care.
- Monitor and manage department budget, resources, and staffing needs.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure staff development and growth.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in pediatric healthcare to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team to address any concerns or issues.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote team morale and job satisfaction.
- Participate in hospital committees and initiatives to improve overall patient care and outcomes.
- Handle any administrative tasks related to the PICU, such as scheduling and resource management.
- Act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, promoting a culture of excellence and integrity within the department.
Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Managerial Role In A Pediatric Icu Setting.
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage A Team Of Nurses And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Extensive Knowledge Of Pediatric Critical Care Practices, Protocols, And Procedures.
