
Nurse Manager (RN) - NICU
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Ascension Health. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and a commitment to ensuring that our NICU is a safe and supportive environment for both patients and their families.The successful candidate must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and have a minimum of 5 years of NICU experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. They should have a broad understanding of the challenges related to providing quality care in a complex, high-acuity environment, and be comfortable with quickly making decisions and managing multiple priorities.The Nurse Manager (RN) will be responsible for ensuring that our NICU runs efficiently and effectively, and for providing our staff and patients with excellent care. This position requires an individual who is dedicated to creating a positive work environment and who is a patient advocate. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the NICU is a safe and supportive environment for both patients and their families.
- Manage multiple priorities and make quick decisions.
- Provide excellent patient care and ensure the NICU runs efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Recruit, supervise, and mentor staff members.
- Ensure that staff members have the necessary resources and training to provide quality care.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to the NICU.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Advocate for patients and their families.
