Mental Health Safety Attendant

1. Monitor and observe patients with mental health challenges to ensure their safety and well-being.
2. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients who may be experiencing distress or anxiety.
3. Maintain a calm and composed demeanor in potentially stressful situations.
4. Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergent or crisis situations.
5. Collaborate with the treatment team to create and implement individualized care plans for patients.
6. Document patient observations and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
8. Attend required training and educational sessions related to mental health and patient care.
9. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in regards to patient information.
11. Provide assistance with daily living activities for patients who may require additional support.
12. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff to facilitate effective communication.
13. Remain up-to-date on current mental health practices and techniques to provide the best possible care.
14. Participate in team meetings and contribute insights and suggestions for improving patient care.
15. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
