1. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients with mental health challenges by closely monitoring their behaviors and providing appropriate support and care.
2. Assist clinical team members in carrying out treatment plans and interventions for patients.
3. Build strong relationships with patients to promote trust and rapport, and provide emotional support and encouragement.
4. Maintain a calm and non-judgmental demeanor while working with patients who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
5. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and clinical team members to provide updates and observations on patient behaviors and progress.
6. Implement crisis management techniques as needed to de-escalate situations and promote a safe environment.
7. Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors, and report any changes or concerns to the clinical team.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including patient rooms and common areas.
9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices and techniques for working with patients with mental health challenges.
10. Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols to protect patient privacy and maintain a secure environment.
11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
12. Utilize crisis intervention skills to handle emergency situations and provide appropriate support for patients in crisis.
13. Remain knowledgeable about mental health disorders, treatments, and resources to provide accurate information and resources to patients and their families.
14. Serve as a positive role model for patients, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism at all times.
