- Oversee the daily operations of the sterile processing department.
- Ensure the safe and efficient processing of medical equipment and supplies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the sterile processing department.
- Train and supervise staff to ensure they adhere to established protocols and maintain a high level of quality control.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supply of sterile equipment and supplies.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterile equipment and supplies.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the sterile processing department.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in sterile processing technology.
- Foster a culture of compassionate care and patient-centeredness among staff.
- Manage department budget and identify areas for cost-saving opportunities.
- Resolve any issues or concerns related to the sterile processing department in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the infection control team to prevent and control the spread of infections.
- Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with the hospital administration to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and quality of the sterile processing department.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Sterile Processing Or Central Supply Role, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Management Position.
Knowledge Of Sterile Processing Techniques, Industry Regulations, And Best Practices, Including Infection Control And Sterilization Methods.
Strong Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Foster A Positive Work Environment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And Communicate With Staff At All Levels.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field. Certification In Sterile Processing Or Central Supply Management Is Preferred.
