Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join the Gastroenterology team at Ascension Health. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and dedicated professional who is passionate about providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. This position will provide a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a dynamic and rewarding environment.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess a current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice and have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a nursing role. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in the Gastroenterology department.
  2. Follow established protocols and procedures for patient care.
  3. Monitor and evaluate patient progress.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
  6. Ensure patient safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  7. Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment options.
  8. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  9. Respond to patient inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
