Ascension Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor - PRN to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university, along with a valid state license in counseling. The successful candidate should also demonstrate the ability to work independently and possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Our PRN Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base and develop meaningful interventions that lead to improved quality of life. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate and effective counseling to a diverse client base, with the goal of improving their quality of life.
  2. Utilize evidence-based practices and interventions to create meaningful treatment plans.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals on the patient’s treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers.
  4. Develop an understanding of each patient’s individual needs and goals, and modify treatment to meet those needs.
  5. Document patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
  6. Remain current on best practices in the field of behavioral health and make recommendations for improvements to the treatment team.
  7. Maintain a valid state license in counseling.

Job Qualifications
