Infection Preventionist

At Ascension Health, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Infection Preventionist to join our team. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating infection prevention and control policies and procedures. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in infection prevention and control, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in infection prevention and control. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Monitor and track infection prevention and control trends
• Implement and coordinate infection prevention and control education programs
• Develop and maintain infection prevention and control protocols
• Assist with infection control risk assessments
• Participate in the evaluation of new products and equipment
• Identify and report infection control issues and trends
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and provide expert consultation on infection prevention and control
• Maintain infection prevention and control records
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Monitor and audit facility programs and processes
• Stay current with advances in infection prevention and control
