- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs to ensure facilities are functioning properly and safely.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any potential issues and address them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions or failures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and labeling of tools and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment necessary for facility maintenance.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with management and other team members to report on completed tasks, ongoing projects, and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory records.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in facility maintenance and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Assist in training and mentoring new facility maintenance team members as needed.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs in facility maintenance operations.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Facility Maintenance Job At Ascension Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Understand And Perform Maintenance Tasks Effectively.
Technical Or Vocational Training: Candidates With Technical Or Vocational Training In Areas Such As Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical Work, Or Carpentry Are Preferred For Facility Maintenance Jobs At Ascension Health.
