Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our Ascension Health Endoscopy team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will use specialized equipment and techniques to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions of the digestive system. You will provide patient care, set up and take down equipment, and prepare for and clean up after endoscopic procedures.To be successful in this role, you must have a strong commitment to patient safety and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also have the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. You must have a current certification as an Endoscopy Technician (CET) from the National Board of Certification. An Associate’s degree in a related field and at least one year of experience in endoscopy is also preferred.If you have a passion for patient care and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions of the digestive system.
  2. Provide patient care, set up and take down equipment, and prepare for and clean up after endoscopic procedures.
  3. Maintain patient safety and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Think quickly and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Maintain current certification as an Endoscopy Technician (CET) from the National Board of Certification.
  6. Possess an Associate’s degree in a related field and at least one year of experience in endoscopy.
