- Provide advanced emergency medical care to critically ill or injured patients.
- Administer medications and perform advanced medical procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond quickly to changes in their condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on the latest advancements in critical care.
- Stay current on all state and local regulations and laws related to emergency medical services.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Maintain and clean and organized work environment.
- Stay calm and composed in high-stress situations and make critical decisions quickly.
- Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced paramedics.
- Continuously assess and improve upon personal skills and knowledge.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Act as an advocate for patient rights and needs.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in identifying areas for improvement.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by superiors.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic In A Critical Care Setting, Such As An Emergency Department Or Intensive Care Unit.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Or Respiratory Therapy.
Certification As A Critical Care Paramedic (Ccp) Through A Recognized Accrediting Body, Such As The International Board Of Specialty Certification (Ibsc).
Proficiency In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals), And Advanced Trauma Life Support (Atls) Protocols.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team And Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families.
