Job Description

Ascension Health is seeking a Coordinator for our Trauma Program to provide crucial support and coordination for our patients and healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation and management of our trauma program, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.   1. Coordinate and oversee the implementation and management of the trauma program at Ascension Health.
  2. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the successful treatment and care of trauma patients.
  3. Provide crucial support and coordination for patients and their families throughout the trauma care process.
  4. Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care and progress.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and facilities to ensure seamless care for trauma patients.
  6. Develop and implement protocols and procedures for the trauma program to ensure high-quality and effective care.
  7. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the trauma program, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  8. Stay up-to-date on latest developments and advancements in trauma care and incorporate them into the program.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards related to trauma care.
  10. Train and educate staff on trauma care protocols and procedures.
  11. Facilitate communication between healthcare team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  12. Represent the trauma program at meetings and conferences, promoting awareness and advocating for patients.
  13. Act as a liaison between patients, their families, and the healthcare team, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  14. Utilize strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  15. Display compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when interacting with trauma patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Current Certification In Trauma Nursing Core Course (Tncc) Or Advanced Trauma Care For Nurses (Atcn).

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Trauma Care, Preferably In A Leadership Or Coordinator Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Trauma Program Development, Implementation, And Evaluation.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multidisciplinary Teams.
