
Clinical Nutritionist - Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine and Lifestyles

- Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for pediatric and adolescent patients based on their unique needs and medical conditions.
- Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and provide ongoing monitoring and support to ensure patients are meeting their nutritional goals.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits, as well as ways to manage and prevent nutrition-related conditions.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in pediatric nutrition and share this knowledge with the team to continuously improve patient care.
- Work closely with the food service department to ensure patients' dietary needs are met during their hospital stay.
- Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals and community members on pediatric nutrition and health promotion.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and conferences to discuss patient progress and make recommendations for their care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Adhere to all relevant ethical and legal standards and follow established policies and procedures for patient care and confidentiality.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the nutrition program and services offered to pediatric and adolescent patients.
- Serve as an advocate for children's health and nutrition, both within the healthcare system and in the community.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain coverage for necessary nutrition services for patients.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues and students in training, including dietetic interns and nutrition students.
- Maintain professional development through ongoing education and training opportunities related to pediatric nutrition.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field, With A Focus On Pediatric And Adolescent Nutrition.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Clinical Nutritionist In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably With Pediatric And Adolescent Patients.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).
Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric And Adolescent Medical Conditions, Dietary Restrictions, And Nutritional Needs.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Pediatric Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Collaborative And Patient-Centered Manner.
