- Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients based on their specific needs and health conditions.
- Develop personalized nutrition plans for patients, taking into consideration their medical history, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition to provide evidence-based recommendations to patients.
- Conduct nutrition assessments and screenings to identify any nutritional deficiencies or potential risks.
- Educate patients on the importance of proper nutrition and its impact on overall health and well-being.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of nutrition interventions.
- Work closely with food service staff to ensure patients receive appropriate meals and nutrition support during their hospital stay.
- Comply with all regulations and guidelines set by the organization, as well as state and federal laws.
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings to stay informed on new policies and procedures.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and their families in regards to nutrition and wellness.
- Maintain confidentiality in all patient interactions and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and community partners to promote nutrition education and healthy eating habits.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nutrition services to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission and values, particularly its faith-based approach to healthcare.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Certified Nutrition Specialist (Cns) Certification
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Nutrition, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Medical Nutrition Therapy And Ability To Develop Individualized Nutrition Plans For Patients With Various Health Conditions
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills To Effectively Educate And Counsel Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals On Nutrition And Dietary Changes.
