Job Description

As the Chief Strategy Officer at Ascension Health, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction and growth of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for Ascension Health, in alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  2. Lead the organization in identifying growth opportunities, both organic and through partnerships and acquisitions.
  3. Conduct thorough market analysis and stay up-to-date on industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  4. Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and communicate strategic priorities and objectives to all levels of the organization.
  5. Provide guidance and direction to department leaders in developing and executing their own strategic plans.
  6. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas and initiatives that align with the organization's strategic direction.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  8. Identify potential risks and challenges to the organization's strategic objectives and develop mitigation plans.
  9. Serve as a key representative of Ascension Health in external partnerships and collaborations, fostering relationships with other healthcare organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
  10. Stay abreast of changes in the healthcare landscape and regulatory environment, and make recommendations for adjustments to the organization's strategy as needed.
  11. Lead and mentor a team of strategic planning professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  12. Communicate the organization's strategic vision and progress to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and employees.
