  • Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Assist nursing staff with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing team.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including proper infection control measures.
  • Help patients with mobility and assist them in performing exercises or activities as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient care and activities accurately and timely in medical records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve knowledge and skills related to patient care.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Continuously strive to improve the quality of care provided and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Nursing Assistant Training Program: A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) At Ascension Health Must Have Completed A State-Approved Training Program And Passed A Competency Exam To Be Certified.

  • Active Certification And Licensure: The Candidate Must Have An Active And Valid Cna Certification And State Licensure To Practice As A Nursing Assistant In The State Where Ascension Health Operates.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge: A Cna At Ascension Health Must Possess Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge To Provide Quality Patient Care. This Includes Knowledge Of Basic Medical Procedures, Medication Administration, And Infection Control.

  • Demonstrated Experience In A Clinical Setting: Candidates Must Have Previous Experience Working As A Cna In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities: As A Cna, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential To Provide Quality Care And Maintain A Positive Work Environment.
