- Assist healthcare providers in examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Certified Medical Assistant At Ascension Health Should Have Completed A Formal Education Program From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received The Necessary Training And Has A Strong Foundation In Medical Assisting Skills.
Current Certification As A Medical Assistant: Ascension Health Requires All Certified Medical Assistants To Have A Current Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha). This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met National Standards For Competency And Knowledge In The Field.
Experience In A Clinical Setting: Ascension Health Prefers Candidates With Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Hospital, Physician's Office, Or Outpatient Clinic. This Experience Helps The Candidate To Be Familiar With Medical Procedures, Terminology, And Patient Care Protocols.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehrs): With The Increasing Use Of Electronic Health Records, It Is Important For A Certified Medical Assistant At Ascension Health To Have Experience And Proficiency In Working With Ehrs. This Includes Documenting Patient Information, Scheduling Appointments, And Managing Patient Records.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Certified Medical Assistant At Ascension Health, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
