- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in accordance with Ascension Health's standards and policies.
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care by performing various clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures.
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all individuals who enter the facility.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatments administered.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient and effective patient flow, communicating any potential delays or issues.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate with patients and their families in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and coordinating patient care as needed.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Stay current with industry developments, attending training and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements, contributing to the overall success of the healthcare facility.
- Represent Ascension Health in a positive and professional manner at all times, promoting the organization's mission and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned by healthcare providers or management.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification From A Nationally Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Training Program.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Medical Assisting Experience In A Clinical Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Team Members.
