Job Description

  1. Accurately assign ICD and CPT codes for cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses.
  2. Review medical records and documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness.
  3. Utilize knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  4. Communicate with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies or obtain necessary information.
  5. Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations related to cardiovascular procedures.
  6. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely coding.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure proper billing and reimbursement for services provided.
  8. Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies to maintain patient privacy.
  9. Participate in training and education to continuously improve coding skills and knowledge.
  10. Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
  11. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification From The American Health Information Management Association (Ahima).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cardiovascular Coding In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Health Record Systems And Coding Software.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Efficiently Under Tight Deadlines.
