Job Description

  1. Conduct comprehensive audiology evaluations for patients of all ages, including both pediatric and adult populations.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient needs.
  3. Perform a variety of audiological tests, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and otoacoustic emissions testing.
  4. Administer and interpret results of hearing screenings and hearing aid evaluations.
  5. Fit and dispense hearing aids and other assistive listening devices as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families on hearing loss and treatment options.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  9. Stay current on advances in audiology and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.
  11. Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to all individuals.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Uphold the mission and values of Ascension Health in all interactions.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  15. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  16. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Audiology: To Be Considered For An Audiologist Position At Ascension Health, Candidates Must Possess A Doctor Of Audiology (Au.d.) Degree From An Accredited University.

  • State Licensure And Certification: All Applicants Must Be Licensed To Practice Audiology In The State Where They Will Be Working, And Must Also Hold A Certificate Of Clinical Competence In Audiology (Ccc-A) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • Experience Working With Diverse Patient Populations: Ascension Health Values Diversity And Inclusion In Their Healthcare Practices. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Experience Working With A Variety Of Patient Populations, Including Different Ages, Cultures, And Communication Abilities.
