Job Description

At Ascension Health, we are looking for a highly qualified and dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our oncology team. This individual will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of oncology experts in providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients.We are seeking an APRN/PA with a passion for oncology, a commitment to excellence, and a dedication to providing the highest quality of care. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: a Master’s Degree in nursing or an appropriate clinical profession, at least two years of oncology experience, current licensure to practice in the state in which the position is located, and certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission of Certifying Physician Assistants (NCCPA).At Ascension Health, we strive to ensure that each of our oncology patients receive the highest quality of care. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to oncology patients.
  2. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of oncology experts.
  3. Maintain current licensure to practice in the state in which the position is located.
  4. Maintain certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission of Certifying Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  5. Ensure that each of our oncology patients receive the highest quality of care.
  6. Utilize knowledge and experience in oncology to develop and provide patient care plans.
  7. Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations and standards.
  8. Keep abreast of developments in oncology and best practices for patient care.
  9. Participate in relevant professional associations and conferences.
  10. Participate in continuing education activities to stay up to date on current trends and best practices.
