  1. Serve as a mentor and leader for the pharmacy technician team, guiding and supporting them in their daily tasks and professional growth.
  2. Advocate for the needs and concerns of pharmacy technicians within the organization, ensuring their voices are heard and their contributions are recognized.
  3. Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to develop and implement training programs and initiatives for pharmacy technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the pharmacy technician team, providing feedback and coaching to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pharmacy technology, and share this information with the pharmacy technician team to improve processes and enhance patient care.
  6. Serve as a liaison between pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals, advocating for their role and expertise in patient care.
  7. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and company policies related to pharmacy technician practice.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify opportunities for improvement and implement new processes and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to pharmacy technician training, performance, and development.
  10. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current on advancements in pharmacy technology and patient care.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Medication Safety Protocols.

  • Advanced Pharmacy Technician Certification: The Candidate Should Hold An Advanced Certification As A Pharmacy Technician, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht).

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Advanced Pharmacy Technician Advocate Will Be Expected To Communicate With A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Pharmacists, Healthcare Providers, And Patients. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential.

  • Advocacy And Leadership Experience: As An Advocate For Advanced Pharmacy Technicians, The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Advocating For The Profession And Promoting The Role Of Pharmacy Technicians In Healthcare. Leadership Experience, Such As Leading A Team Or Project, Is Also Desirable.
