  1. Develop and oversee structural designs for various projects to ensure they meet client needs and align with Arup's standards and values.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions.
  3. Conduct research and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with industry regulations and codes.
  4. Review and approve drawings, calculations, and other technical documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
  5. Use advanced software and technology to create and analyze structural models and simulations.
  6. Monitor project progress and provide updates to project managers and clients.
  7. Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design solutions and address any concerns.
  8. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
  9. Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes and techniques.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments, trends, and best practices to maintain a high level of technical expertise.
  11. Represent Arup in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  12. Adhere to project budgets and timelines while maintaining a high level of quality in work.
  13. Ensure all designs meet safety and sustainability standards.
  14. Collaborate with other teams within Arup to integrate structural design with other disciplines.
  15. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Or Structural Engineering: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Civil Or Structural Engineering Is Required To Apply For A Structural Engineer Position At Arup. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Structural Principles And Can Handle Complex Engineering Problems.

  • Professional Engineer (P.e.) Certification: Arup Values Candidates Who Have Obtained Their Professional Engineer (P.e.) Certification. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In The Field Of Structural Engineering.

  • Experience In Structural Analysis And Design: Arup Is Looking For Candidates Who Have Experience In Structural Analysis And Design. This Includes Using Software Such As Etabs, Sap2000, And Revit To Perform Structural Calculations, As Well As Developing And Reviewing Structural Drawings And Specifications.

  • Familiarity With International Building Codes And Standards: As A Global Company, Arup Works On Projects All Over The World. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of International Building Codes And Standards, Such As Asce, Aci, And Eurocodes.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Arup Values Employees Who Are Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Clients, Architects, And Other Team Members. Candidates Should Possess Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
