  1. Conduct structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, ranging from iconic structures to complex challenges.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
  3. Utilize technical knowledge and expertise to ensure high-quality and cost-effective designs.
  4. Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
  5. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction meets design specifications and safety standards.
  6. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in structural engineering technology.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  8. Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, and calculations.
  9. Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  10. Mentor and train junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support.
  11. Identify and assess potential risks and challenges and propose mitigation strategies.
  12. Adhere to project timelines and deliverables while ensuring quality and accuracy.
  13. Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain a positive working relationship with clients and partners.
  14. Continuously strive to improve and optimize design processes and methodologies.
  15. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Or Structural Engineering: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Civil Or Structural Engineering Is Typically Required For A Structural Engineer Position At Arup. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles And Theories.

  • Professional Engineering (Pe) License: Arup Prefers Candidates Who Have Obtained A Professional Engineering (Pe) License, As This Demonstrates A High Level Of Technical Competence And Expertise. A Pe License Is Also Required To Sign And Seal Engineering Documents.

  • Experience With Structural Design Software: Arup Uses Various Software Programs For Structural Analysis And Design. Therefore, Candidates With Experience In Using Software Such As Sap2000, Etabs, And Revit Are Highly Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Codes And Standards: The Structural Engineer Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Building Codes, Industry Standards, And Regulations To Ensure That All Projects Comply With Safety And Legal Requirements. Familiarity With Codes Such As Asce 7, Aci, And Aisc Is Essential.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: Arup Values Candidates Who Can Effectively Communicate Technical Information To Clients, Team Members, And Stakeholders. The Ability To Collaborate And Work In Multidisciplinary Teams Is Also Crucial For A Successful Structural Engineer At Arup.
