- Develop and implement sustainable and efficient transportation plans for various projects.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify transportation needs and trends.
- Work closely with clients to understand their transportation goals and develop customized solutions.
- Utilize data and modeling techniques to support decision making for transportation projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate transportation planning with other aspects of projects.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in transportation planning.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients on transportation planning strategies.
- Manage and oversee the work of junior transportation planners.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and policies related to transportation planning.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal writing.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the transportation planning team.
- Continuously strive for improvement and innovation in transportation planning processes and techniques.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients and seek new business opportunities.
- Act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members.
Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Transportation Planning, Preferably In A Consulting Or Engineering Firm. This Includes Experience In Managing Complex Transportation Projects And A Strong Understanding Of Industry Best Practices.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field: A Senior Transportation Planner At Arup Should Have A Degree In Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Or A Related Field. A Master's Degree Is Preferred, But A Bachelor's Degree With Relevant Experience May Also Be Considered.
Strong Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Transportation Modeling Software Such As Vissim, Synchro, And Cube. Knowledge Of Gis And Cad Software Is Also Desirable.
Project Management Experience: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing Transportation Projects From Conception To Completion, Including Budgeting, Scheduling, And Client Management. Experience In Leading And Mentoring A Team Is Also Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: As A Senior Transportation Planner, The Candidate Will Be Required To Communicate Complex Transportation Concepts And Analyses To Clients, Stakeholders, And Team Members. Therefore, Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills And Experience In Delivering Presentations Are Essential For This Role.
