As a Technical Lead - Physical Design at Arrow Electronics, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing the design and implementation of complex integrated circuits.   1. Lead the physical design process for complex integrated circuits, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery to customers.
  2. Utilize your expertise and knowledge to provide guidance and support to the physical design team.
  3. Take ownership of the design implementation process, making critical decisions to ensure project success.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, verification, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products.
  5. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in physical design methodologies, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
  6. Mentor and train team members, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  7. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to improve the design process.
  8. Communicate project progress and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the design process.
  10. Act as a technical point of contact for customers, addressing any concerns or questions related to physical design.
  11. Drive innovation and suggest new ideas and approaches to enhance the physical design process.
  12. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards while performing job duties.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Physical Design Tools And Methodologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Physical Design Tools And Methodologies Commonly Used In The Industry, Such As Cadence, Synopsys, And Mentor Graphics. They Should Also Have A Good Grasp Of The Latest Trends And Emerging Technologies In The Field Of Physical Design.

  • Experience With Complex Asic And Fpga Designs: The Technical Lead-Physical Design Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Delivering Complex Asic And Fpga Designs. This Includes Hands-On Experience With Floor-Planning, Place And Route, Timing Closure, And Physical Verification.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Technical Lead, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Physical Design Engineers. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills Are A Must. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Clients, And Provide Clear Direction And Guidance To The Team.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices: The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed With Industry Standards And Best Practices In Physical Design, Such As Design For Manufacturability (Dfm), Design For Testability (Dft), And Design For Yield (Dfy). They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Design Constraints Such As Power, Timing, And Area.

  • Project Management Skills: The Technical Lead-Physical Design Will Be Responsible For Managing The Entire Physical Design Process, Including Project Planning, Resource Allocation, And Tracking Progress. Therefore, Strong Project Management Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Prioritize Tasks, Manage Timelines, And Effectively Handle Any Project-Related Issues Or Challenges.
