- Maintain accurate and organized medical records for the university's healthcare facility.
- Ensure all medical records are up-to-date and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor and review medical records for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with the retrieval and filing of medical records as needed.
- Respond to requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and other authorized individuals.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Input and update patient information in electronic medical records system.
- Monitor and track missing or incomplete medical records and follow up with necessary parties to obtain missing information.
- Prepare and maintain reports on medical record accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with training new employees on medical record keeping processes and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to medical records management.
- Maintain knowledge of current healthcare laws and regulations related to medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members regarding medical records.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Electronic Health Records Management
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Programs
Experience With Data Entry And Record Keeping In A Medical Setting
