
Information Security Analyst

- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks within ASU's information systems and data.
- Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the protection of ASU's sensitive information.
- Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential security breaches.
- Work closely with other members of the information security team to implement and maintain security controls.
- Provide technical support and guidance to ASU faculty, staff, and students on best practices for safeguarding information assets.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends and technologies, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and providing timely reports to management.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure the security of ASU's information systems and data.
- Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for ASU community members to promote a culture of security awareness.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Maintain documentation of security procedures and protocols for internal and external audits.
- Communicate security risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and management.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate ASU's security posture and make recommendations for improvement.
- Proactively identify and address potential security gaps or weaknesses in ASU's information systems and data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on information security matters and provide guidance to other team members as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Information Security, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Extensive Knowledge Of Information Security Principles, Practices, And Technologies.
Strong Understanding Of Network And System Security, Including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection And Prevention Systems, And Encryption Methods.
Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp) Or Certified Information Security Manager (Cism) Are Highly Desired.
