High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A General Maintenance Mechanic At Arizona State University Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent In Order To Be Considered For The Position. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge That Is Necessary For The Job.
Previous Maintenance Experience: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In General Maintenance, Preferably In A Similar Work Environment Such As A School Or University. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Basic Repairs, Troubleshooting, And Equipment Maintenance.
Technical Skills: A General Maintenance Mechanic Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Technical Skills, Including Electrical, Plumbing, Hvac, And Carpentry. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Various Tools And Equipment Used In Maintenance Work.
Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints And Schematics: At Arizona State University, The General Maintenance Mechanic Will Be Responsible For Reading And Interpreting Blueprints And Schematics To Perform Repairs And Installations.
