High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A General Maintenance Mechanic At Arizona State University Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent In Order To Be Considered For The Position. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge That Is Necessary For The Job.
Previous Maintenance Experience: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In General Maintenance, Preferably In A Similar Work Environment Such As A School Or University. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Basic Repairs, Troubleshooting, And Equipment Maintenance.
Technical Skills: A General Maintenance Mechanic Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Technical Skills, Including Electrical, Plumbing, Hvac, And Carpentry. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Various Tools And Equipment Used In Maintenance Work.
