- Provide one-on-one career counseling to students, including resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and career assessments.
- Assist students in exploring their interests, skills, and values to help them identify potential career paths.
- Stay up-to-date on current job market trends and career opportunities to better advise students.
- Collaborate with other career services staff to develop and implement career-related workshops, events, and programs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student appointments and progress.
- Build relationships with employers and foster partnerships to create job and internship opportunities for students.
- Serve as a resource for students, providing information on job search strategies, networking techniques, and career development resources.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the university's curriculum and academic programs to provide students with tailored career advice.
- Participate in the recruitment and retention of students by representing the career services department at events and orientations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve counseling techniques and resources to ensure the highest level of student satisfaction.
- Help students develop necessary skills to succeed in the workforce, such as professionalism, communication, and networking.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all students and provide support to underrepresented student populations.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide career-related support and resources for students in their academic programs.
- Stay informed on industry and career-related changes and trends to provide relevant and timely advice to students.
- Serve as an advocate for students and promote the career services department on campus and in the community.
A Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Career Counseling Or Related Field, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Knowledge Of Career Development Theories, Counseling Techniques, And Assessment Tools.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With A Diverse Student Population.
Understanding Of The Job Market And Industry Trends To Provide Relevant And Up-To-Date Career Advice To Students.
