The ideal candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented individual who has a passion for human resources and a proven track record of success in the field. The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of HR best practices and be familiar with Canadian labour laws. Additionally, the successful applicant should be familiar with payroll and benefits administration. Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain knowledge of Canadian labour laws and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  2. Facilitate onboarding of new employees and provide orientation to ensure a smooth transition.
  3. Oversee payroll and benefits administration, including management of vacation and sick leave.
  4. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  5. Create and maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of all personnel information.
  6. Monitor employee performance and provide feedback on areas of improvement.
  7. Handle employee inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
  8. Identify and address areas of potential improvement in the HR department.
  9. Assist in recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and background checks.
  10. Participate in developing and implementing employee engagement activities.
