Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of Canadian labour laws and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Facilitate onboarding of new employees and provide orientation to ensure a smooth transition.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration, including management of vacation and sick leave.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of all personnel information.
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback on areas of improvement.
- Handle employee inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Identify and address areas of potential improvement in the HR department.
- Assist in recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and background checks.
- Participate in developing and implementing employee engagement activities.
