Staff Technician - Boilers

Perform all work and conduct oneself in a manner that promotes the safety of the individual and all others at ATC. In addition, be aware of and protect the environment causing no negative impact. Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations. Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels. Perform water quality testing daily, document and adjust water chemistry as necessary. Record data and keep logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity in accordance with industry standards. Conduct boiler flushes and blow-downs as necessary. Inspect equipment to ensure that it is operating efficiently and immediately report malfunctions, leaks, and out-of-parameter operating conditions. Conduct preventative maintenance and service to boilers and supporting systems for the reliable operation of this equipment. Perform construction and installation work for projects that are necessary to upgrade boilers and supporting systems that service the facilities and research projects at ATC. Work with Engineering when requested. This is to provide support and assistance on projects for new installations or upgrades to existing equipment.
