Job Description

The primary function of the Model Shop Technician is to coordinate, schedule and produce proof of concept components and full size units for use in visual and test evaluation. Producing prototype and/or custom parts, using CNC, 3D printers or traditional machining tools. Program, set-up and maintenance of CNC/3D printers. Fabrication of materials for test units. Fabrication, assembly, and installation of trade show displays and promotional items. Keeping shop equipment, tools and supplies maintained and in safe working order. Practice and enforce Arconic’s safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in machining operations

  • CNC programming experience using MasterCam tool pathing software

  • Certificate in Mechanical Design, Machine Tool Technology, or related Mechanical certificate
