- Conduct metallurgical research and analysis to support the development of new processes and products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes.
- Design and conduct experiments to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
- Analyze data and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for metallurgical processes.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for technical issues related to metallurgical processes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in all metallurgical operations.
- Provide technical expertise and support for product development and production teams.
- Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in metallurgical technology.
- Communicate technical information and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Train and mentor junior engineers in metallurgical principles and processes.
- Participate in project planning and budgeting to meet business objectives.
- Conduct failure analysis and develop corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Represent Arconic as a subject matter expert in metallurgy at industry conferences and events.
Bachelor's Degree In Metallurgical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Metallurgical Engineering, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting.
Proficient In Metallurgical Testing And Analysis Techniques, Including Microscopy, Spectroscopy, And Mechanical Testing.
Strong Understanding Of Metallurgical Principles And Processes, Including Heat Treatment, Alloy Development, And Material Properties.
Excellent Problem-Solving And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team Environment.
