- Communicate and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization, and encourage employees to report any safety concerns or suggestions for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections as needed.
- Conduct regular meetings with management to discuss safety performance and address any concerns or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with human resources to ensure all new employees receive proper safety training and orientation.
- Act as a role model for safe work practices and encourage all employees to prioritize safety in their daily work activities.
- Stay informed on best practices and new developments in the field of health and safety, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Relevant Education And Certifications: A Health & Safety Manager At Arconic Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field. Additionally, Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technologist (Ohst) Are Highly Preferred.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Health & Safety Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Workplace Safety, As Well As Industry-Specific Standards And Guidelines.
Experience In A Manufacturing Environment: Arconic Is A Manufacturing Company, So Experience In A Similar Industry Is Highly Valued. The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of The Risks And Hazards Associated With Manufacturing Processes And Be Able To Develop And Implement Effective Safety Protocols.
