Job Description

We are searching for an experienced, detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join the Architect of the Capitol team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong communication skills, dependability, and a dedication to providing the highest quality of service. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of three years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation of architectural metals, as well as a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings is also a must. A certification in sheet metal mechanics is preferred but not required. Responsibilities:

  1. Fabricate and install architectural metals in accordance with blueprints and architectural drawings.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to sheet metal fabrication and installation.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation of projects and work performed.
  4. Ensure the highest level of quality control standards are met.
  5. Provide timely and accurate feedback to completion of projects.
  6. Work collaboratively with the Architect of the Capitol team to meet project deadlines.
  7. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  8. Operate a variety of tools and equipment used in the sheet metal fabrication and installation process.
  9. Develop an understanding of the latest sheet metal fabrication and installation methods.
  10. Maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
